Monday, October 14th, was a night I’ll remember forever. It
was the launch of my book at the Alex Theatre, and looking back, I can say with
all my heart that it was a huge success. The Alex Theatre group was there to
film the entire event, capturing moments that I’ll cherish for a lifetime. I
also had a professional photographer on hand to make sure every detail was
documented, from the warm smiles of attendees to the enthusiastic conversations
sparked by my book.
To give everyone a quick glimpse of the evening, I had a
30-second highlight video created, which I’ve shared across my social media
channels. It’s wonderful to see the positive responses coming in from people
who couldn’t be there but still want to celebrate with me from afar.
One of the most exciting outcomes of the night was the
opportunity to connect with two interviewers who share a passion for Australian
literature. I’m thrilled to share that I’ll soon be sitting down with Dick
Ross, a long-time supporter of local theatre and literature, for an interview
with our community television service. Filming is set for October 29th, and I
can’t wait to talk about my book, my writing journey, and what’s next.
Another exciting development is an interview with Rachel
Cassidy, a renowned Australian author and advocate for social justice. Rachel
has published nine books and has appeared on TV and radio across Australia and
the UK. Her dedication to meaningful storytelling and social impact is
inspiring, and I’m looking forward to diving into a conversation with her.
Thank you to everyone who joined me, in person and in
spirit, for my book launch. Your support fuels my journey, and I’m excited about
what lies ahead. Stay tuned for more updates and, as always, happy reading!
